Description
GOVERNMENT, THE NEGATION OF LIBERTY
Liberty does not disappear all at once.
It is administered away. Slowly, through institutions that expand their own authority in the name of protecting the people inside them. Through policies that require permission for things that required none before. Through monetary systems that inflate the savings of the many to sustain the structures of the few. The process is gradual enough that each generation inherits a version of freedom slightly smaller than the one before it, and calls it normal because they have nothing else to compare it to.
Ludwig Von Mises named this mechanism before most people were willing to look at it directly. The state, he understood, does not simply govern. It negates. Every intervention creates the conditions for the next one. Every expansion of control reduces the space in which free individuals can act without asking permission. The system is not broken. It is working exactly as systems that concentrate power always work.
Bitcoin is the response that the system cannot administrate away. It does not ask permission to exist. It does not require a government to recognize it as valid. It does not freeze. It does not inflate. It operates according to rules that no committee can rewrite and no institution can override. Satoshi built the exit that Mises described but could not yet offer.
This piece was created in 2019. It has traveled to London, been exhibited, been seen by people who understood immediately and people who needed time. The ones who needed time are starting to catch up. The ones who understood immediately are already holding their keys.
This piece carries its own Bitcoin wallet, loaded with 2,100 sats the moment it was minted. Check the chain yourself — the proof is built into the art, not issued alongside it.
This piece keeps stacking sats for you over time — the earlier you collect, the more it stacks in your favor. Early supporters are rewarded first.
